Since 2015, Ejo youth Echo has been providing training about the conflict sensitive journalism in refugee camps. It started with Kigeme refugee camp, Mugombwa in 2017 and Mahama refugee camp in 2018. After the training, the trainees have been producing NYIRAMUBANDE (former KIGEME IWACU Magazine)
The main objectives of our activities in refugee camps are:
Promote mutual understanding; peaceful coexistence and provide a space to promote exchanges between young refugees and the host communities.
Reduce prejudices through positive experiences sharing during the training.
Creation of Dialogue spaces in schools/ communities leading to discuss fairly
